I chose to work in real estate because I wanted to build a career where I had the opportunity to connect and create experiences for clients. Growing up as the daughter of a custom home and commercial builder, I enjoyed touring model homes and quickly developed a vision for spaces under development. This translated into constant furniture rearrangement in my room, while living at home and then into my college dorm space and first homes. I spent my first career thinking strategically in healthcare marketing and philanthropy roles, fulfilling my desire to serve a higher mission and impact lives.

Transitioning my experience to a second career in real estate just made sense - building great relationships and helping people find the perfect place to live eventually helped me identify the many gaps in the process. As the founder of Ivy Home, I wanted to eliminate the transaction component and focus on the lifestyle experience. Ivy Home’s mission is to simplify and meet clients and families where they are at in the process, creating an experience that is memorable.

I grew up in Shawnee, KS and I attended Pittsburg State University. I then pursued my itch for entrepreneurship and became a wedding/event DJ. After a decade of providing entertainment, I felt I could bring my customer service skills into the residential real estate realm.

My hard work ethic and emotional intelligence allows me to get my clients to the closing table. I take pride in my ability to go above and beyond for my clients, offering support throughout the entire real estate process. As a homeowner and income property owner, I understand the challenges and frustrations that Kansas City area homebuyers face. I strive to bring empathy and insight to each transaction.

Hi there, I’m Maddy! Also known as…a girl mom of two, wife to a real estate investor, musical enthusiast, event planner, and a relationship-based realtor. I was born in Kansas City, MO, but raised in San Antonio, TX, hence why my kryptonite is margaritas, chips and queso! Although I was physically in Texas until I went to college, I was raised by a Midwest dad who raised me to be a Chiefs and KU fanatic. In addition to my dad’s love for sports, he is also a homebuilder, so real estate is basically all I’ve known.

I went to KU to be an engineer, which quickly turned into a marketing degree from the KU School of Business. Immediately post college I joined the corporate world for three and a half years. In 2017, I married Josh and right after our wedding he dove head first into real estate investing, and I got my real estate license. I am now half way through my seventh year as a realtor and have landed myself on the best team in Kansas City. Because of our incredible team, I am able to balance stay at home mom life with selling and purchasing homes with my amazing clients.

I joined Ivy Home in 2019 as part-time help with event planning, social media and odds-and-ends jobs for the team. As Ivy Home has grown, so has my job! I currently have my real estate license, but am also the team administrator and transaction coordinator. I try to keep our team running as smoothly as possible to allow the gals to do their jobs as smoothly as they can!

Prior to my time with Ivy Home, I was a stay-at-home mom for nine years (I have three kids - Sloane, Reece and Tess), dabbling in the blogging world as well as owning a small online clothing store with my sister for five years, all the while moving throughout the Midwest for my husband’s job - Wichita, Minneapolis, Bentonville, Chicago and finally in Kansas City!

I am a small-town girl from Sedan, Kan., a proud graduate of Kansas State, with a huge heart for my family, my friends and anywhere that sells really good primitive antiques. Forever grateful to my Ivy Home team!

Hello! My name is Maggie! As a former teacher, I have always had a passion for helping others achieve their goals and dreams. After 6 years in the classroom, I made the decision to transition into real estate to continue making a positive impact on people's lives in a different way.
